If you think the Dirrell fight was life or death you can't score a fight for ****.

    It was certainly close.

Dirrell was holding and falling about like a ***** everytime froch was in punching range.

Because of these tactics most rounds were very close, could have been scored either way.

I'm at once kind of relieved and kind of disappointed that Rach wasn't there today. (or was she, and just uncharacteristically inconspicuous?)

    **** wasn't close at all.

Dirrell can tie up all he wants to, you score on effective aggression, defense, ring generalship, and clean punching. For 8 rounds Dirrell clearly dominated in each of those 4 facets.

    **** off.

Incidentally, I scored it 115-113 for Dirrell the only time I saw that fight, which was after it happened, as I was in Puerto Rico for a wedding the night the Super Six first started.

Didn't expect it to be that much of a blowout. I thought Mack had enough about him to frustrate Froch for a while at least and make him look bad before getting stopped, the weight must've affected Mack more that he thought.

Really hope they can somehow get out of the Bute rematch, totally pointless. Kessler rematch next would be perfect and the winner fights Ward.

Well if were breaking it down..

Effective aggression - Dirrell would throw 1 punch then hold on for dear life or fall to the floor. In my book that is not effective aggression that is being a *****.

defence - Falling to the canvas, holding on constantly. Nil points

    ring generalship - see above

clean punching - Again due to pot shotting and froch also landing with shots on the inside it was close to score.

Had Dirrell actually stayed in the pocket and counter punched, moved in and out of range then I think he would have won comfortably. BUT he didnt, he acted like a chicken **** all night therefore it was a clsoe fight.

I think i had it roughly same. The 11th round i think was the only round that Dirrell comfortably won as he actually bossed Froch and didnt fall about like a rag doll.
