Cardle is rhythmically cricking his neck to slip Aguilar's right jab and actually doing the counter-punching now, on the front foot. Aguilar is able to spoil his way to the bell and grins, knowing there's only one frame left to get his paycheck.

That might not be unwise. He's only 23, so as long as he's comfortable and healthy it might work out since he's got zero pop up here ten pounds north.

Cardle is throwing javelin jabs and rights, pumping away flat-footed while barging into Aguilar. Nonstop hugging by Aguilar, and the ref takes another point. Cardle gets back to work, putting in battering rams where he can before Aguilar can fall in and crash like a high tide wave and get him tied up. A few solid shots by Cardle, but unable to put Aguilar away.
