Carl Froch wants a Kessler or Bute fight if he wins the S6. In England, though.

The man who beat him is under no obligation to go to Britain (or even a neutral venue) to give him an opportunity at redemption, and coming off a loss no less. :nono

If Froch wins he gets leverage. If he loses to Ward, no. You don't rack up sentimental "brownie points" for going to opponents' backyards often enough. Might makes right. You have to actually win.

Win or lose Froch could fight at home the rest of his career and could never be criticized. He's fought on the road against some tough opponents in most of his last 5-6 fights. I'm not overly crazy about Froch but I love that he'll go on the road and face the best.

If he wins the Super 6(I don't think he beats Ward though) then he's going to have a hard time getting Kessler or Bute to come to him. Bute, may be possible, but he's doing fine at home and I'm not sure I see him traveling to England to face Froch. Kessler already beat Froch so I don't see him caving in to Froch and Kessler's people seem to be letting it known they want some big fights for Kessler at home. Kessler has traveled for big fights so I guess its possible but that doesn't seem to be the direction they are looking at now. It will be an interesting scenario if Froch wins the Super 6.

I think Ward beats Froch and then Froch has two most likely options. Since he won't as much clout he goes on the road and fights Kessler, Bute, or even Ward if a rematch is warranted. Or he goes back to England and tries to get the biggest names he can to come to him.

That's the reason why i wanted to pointed out! and WTF with the ref judging the fight :rofl it's because they don't have enough money to pay the judges after buying the ref

 

I think all agree that we will soon have a mini tourney involving the real top 4 SMW. It could be easier to match the two Euros for a rematch and the two North Americans for their respective belts. And then, have the real final for all the belts. But the fight I'm more excited for is without a doubt Froch vs Bute. I can't wait for this one. It might not happend in this scenario since Kess will win the rematch, so Froch won't have a lick at the real final, too bad. Hope I'm wrong and we have Bute vs Froch for Spring 2012, in Nottingham or Montreal. Anyways, Ward will not want to be exposed by Bute and might run away to LHW to avoid being forced by Showtime to face Bute.

 

If Froch wins the tournament, maybe he will be a bigger name in UK. At this time , I am not sure that Froch would be able to pack a big arena like the 02 in London. The Nottingham arena is only 10K. Bute can pack in Montreal the Bell center at 21 K or fighting outside for summer in Quebec city at 25 K.
If he is the supersix champ, it can give to him an extrapower to negociate, but at last, money will be the ultimate argument.

Unless Kessler doesn't fight Stieglitz, he's not available before August or September 2012. Ward and Froch won't wait for him til then, that would be a 9 months waiting.

 

Bute or nothing though a rematch to avenge the loss of 0 is pretty big of a deal too

or maybe if the Ward fight is good or controversial an immediate rematch may be necessary

 

Sauerland made an offer of an unprecedented 5M £. That's some serious money. Surely it's to make sure that Froch doesn't sign a contract without knowing the payday he might miss. It also ensures that if Froch wants to fight Kessler in Nottingham, his promotor Hearn will have to break the bank.
