Andre Ruiz-Bolt 'fought' like a ***** virtually all night, which was kind of bizarre because he clearly has excellent talent.

There's no way you win a world title by running, complaining, holding, and taking a knee 4-5 times.

The fact that the Americans are so keen on this fella is really weird. I'd rather watch a plank of wood warp in the sun that watch another Dirrell fight. Clearly HBO thought likewise, as they wanted nothing to do with him whatsoever

you ought to give Dirrell credit - he did much better against AA. The Froch fight was really really bad - holding, falling, complaining...

Dirrell fell, if I'm correct, only twice against AA and there were largely no holding. He also did much better when cornered.

Before the final verdict, we'll need to see him against another pressure fighter ala Froch. AA is NOT a pressure fighter. AA is more counter-fighter who turns the heat in the middle and late rounds. If Dirrell handles someone like Froch who comes from the first second of the first round forward, like he did with AA, then he's has clearly improved.

If dirrell is so good then why didnt he clearly beat froch, who by all accounts is total rubbish?

Both fighers in that fight were hopeless imo, maybe they cancelled each other out

I certainly give Dirrell credit for beating AA, although I did say right at the start that AA was too small for this tourny and I still stick by that.

And you are correct. AA is NOT a pressure fighter as many more uneducated boxing fans think he is for some odd reason I can't really work out, other than maybe they heard someone describe him as such and merely parrot someone elses opinion(which does happen A LOT on here:yep)

I don't think being small is AA's main problem, although it certainly was one of his problems in Dirrell's fight.

It's more a style - when he has to chase a slick boxers, he'll always have difficulties, among other things because he's small (reach wise). I think he'll be just fine against Froch and Kessler who like to come forward and are less illusive than the Andres of this SMW world. He counter punched too little in the last fight partly because the other guy was faster beside being taller (and able to get out of danger). Actually, it was really a **** match-up for AA...
