apparently team Golovkin agreed to anything even would of fought him at 168 but carl himself said the Golovkin fight would be a much tougher fight then degale

the stage was set he would of got his big fight at vegas or maidson square garden but i think he decided he did not want to end his career suffering the first knockout loss in his career

He avoided GGG and rightly so

Froch "i would swerve golovkin like a plague i dont need to be in with him dangerous fight dangerous fight"

Yeah but you had no issue with Ward wanting to get some Froch at that same time, right??

BOTH Ward and GGG were chasing Froch and Chavez Jr.

Froch sought the fight the first time but HBO said no as GGG was not big enough. After the 2nd Groves fight he was setting up a fight with JCC jr he wanted a big fight in America. That fell through as Jccjr blew it and he brought up GGG as a possible opponent instead. GGGs team wanted the fight in the UK while Froch wanted it in America. The talks fell through and the last time Froch met Loefller ( the only time Froch met Loefller) Loeffler said no to Frochs proposition.

Big fights fall apart all the time. Unless a fighter refuses to fight someone he is lined up to fight in his division it is not a duck. Frochs team could not help that GGG was not big enough to check his bucket list for a big fight in America. Anyway who was Aside? Oh yea Froch and GGGs team would only do a fight in the UK where Froch would only fight his last fight in America. Then theres HBO sayin the fight wasn't big enough the first time.

GGG was not Frochs mandatory and he did not agree with all of Frochs demands and at the time wasn't even big enough for his own network to back the fight in America. Sh*t happens get over it.

I spoke to Tom Loeffler and we were just chatting about fighting at a catchweight but he didn’t want him [Golovkin] to come near me,” Froch said to skysports.com. “He [Loeffler] didn’t say anything, he didn’t want to agree to anything – it didn’t even sound like he wanted him to even come up to 168lbs. As soon as that was mentioned he was straight on to talking about fighting Canelo [Alvarez].”

He is retired so no longer one of my favorites. I was trying to explain about Ward-GGG also the other day. Figts fall through all the time but unless you are lined up for a shot and you are actually ducked it isn't a duck when a fight falls apart. That would be like saying GGG is ducking Lara because he is willing to do anythin to fight GGG because Lara says so. In which most GGG fans would reply it isn't a duck unless he comes up to 160 lines himself up with a shot and GGG refuses to fight him. Which I agree with.

Or how about did Lara send GGG an official offer?
Well GGG did not send Froch an official offer.

The hypocrisy on this forum is astounding.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about a fight that's not going to happen. One fighter is at 160 and the other is at 175.

Ya Lara is afraid to move up. Also ends up being an easy fight for Triple G.

All I am saying is that GGG is not ducking Lara. You can't duck someone that is not in your division. Big fights fall apart it doesn't mean either fighter ducked the other. The word "duck" gets thrown around too much on here but certain "fans" only allow for the circumstances surrounding their favorite fighter. I am a fan of GGG but cannot stand the BS by either the haters saying he is ducking someone who isn't even in his division or the fanatics saying every fighter is ducking him. It is ridiculous on here atm.

Problem I have with Froch though is that last year he mentioned the two names he wanted to have a come back fight for and those two were Ward and Triple G. I felt all along he would not fight either of them and that he would just retire. But it seems people were so interested and he noticed, so for about a month he lead people to believe that he was actually coming back.

Ward fight would of never happened as Ward could not make 168 anyway and Froch knows he can not beat Ward. They both did not negotiate when ordered to fight. Too much Aside BS. Neither would give into their egos. The GGG fight would of never happened they could not agree on where the fight would happen. GGGs team also said they would focus on unifying first anyway while Froch retired. I don't blame either guy. I could also see why GGG was focusing on Canelo anyway. Froch has been inactive while Canelo had the title and there was much more money to be made. Froch threw out his bargaining advantage when he retired and while he was adamant about a farewell fight in America it wouldn't have made the most money.

It's not so much that they would have happened, I just think Froch saw there was an opportunity to stay relevant to just mention those two names as a possibility if he were to return which most people would say makes sense and get people excited. I think Loffler would have jumped on the chance to fight Froch in the UK and for Triple G to make some serious dough.
