Would've been close to a 50-50 fight if it happened last year imo, both are excellent fighters.

  2. GGG would stop Ward with his hands tied behind his back, nevermind Froch.

I will never forget Froch posting a shirtless picture of himself with the caption "Too big and strong for GGG" then announcing his retirement. Laughable

By that token does this mean Froch ducked Chavez Jr and Degale too?
Correct me if I'm wrong bit after Groves II Froch had been talking about retirement his options at the time were A)retire B)Big money Vegas fight vs Chavez C)low money bragging rights fight vs James or Gennandy.

He called all three out at that time so him retiring according to you all he ducked Chavez to.

Froch didn't duck him he said he will fight again for a certain figure in his mind and that was never offered.
He isn't going to fight ggg for 500k when he has 20m in the bank is he.

Apparently you are lying. A catchweight was offered to Froch, not a full super middleweight bout.

It's always interesting how people want to big up GGG (a guy who hasn't fought a single A list fighter) and how he would stop a fighter who would have to be hit by a nuclear bomb before he would quit. Now lets not pretend, GGG is an avoided fighter for obvious reasons, he is dangerous without having a massive financial upside (not yet at least). The matter of fact way in which people claim GGG would stop Froch is silly to say the least. I would imagine someone like Froch would pose a few problems. How many SMW fighters has GGG fought? How many times has he fought someone with a granite chin? I am not pretending Froch would win, but I think to suggest this would be a blowout is vastly underrating Froch and massively overrating GGG.

I'm a big GGG fan, but you are right: no one can be 100% certain GGG blows out Froch. Froch was a really tough world-class fighter, I doubt anyone blows him out.

Yep, say's it all about Carl post GG I.

He was FORCED by the public to rematch George, then he pulls this stunt with Golovkin.

Btw, did you know that Carl fought at Wembley in front of 80'000 people? Chopped trees, too.

Yes he was forced into a fight he knew he'd win for 8million big ones. If you didn't detect the sarcasm, I have pointed it out. Whilst George was seemingly a viable opponent, this fight was a master class of promotion and brinkmanship. Groves was exposed as nothing more than a slick nearly mean who lacked that something extra.

Golovkin was/is very dangerous for anyone, but the risk VS money factor for Froch deemed it unreasonable. Had it been 3 years earlier, I honestly think the fight may have happened. People like to jump on the bandwagon of playing the who ducked who game without being aware of the bottom line. Would GGG destroy Froch?.. no I dont't think it's as certain as some make out and it's stupid to assume as such. It's fair assumption to think GGG would be a favourite, but then again he's never been even remotely close to anyone of his durability or level before.

Boxing fans have alot in common with Football fans in that they in most circumstances have almost no clue about the sport they profess to be a fan of. The irony is, it's mostly based on loyalty to a particular fighter/team, which I can respect but it does make debating nigh on impossible.
