carl froch whats your views on him?

He seems like a good prospect; but until december 6th it's hard to say for sure how good (or bad) he is. He reminds of Junior Whitter and Amir khan in that he's constantly called a big name (calzaghe) without having done anything to warrent such an opportunity

 

he holds his hand too low.kessler would murder him,but he may beat others,need to see him fight world class fighter to get better opinon of him.

Froch blows and is overrated based on beating up cupcakes. Yes, he has good power, but he's so ridiculously slow that he should get outboxed by anyone who wouldn't get lured into a brawl or who has a good enough chin to withstand his blows. He beats a shot Lacy, but Kessler, Bute, Taylor, Inkin, Bika, and possibly Andrade all beat him.

As for being a 'prospect', he's 31 years old. That's older than all of the guys I mentioned above.

I think he beats Pascal, but that's mostly because I think Pascal kinda sucks too.

 

Carl Froch is a bad SOB He'll give anyone trouble right now! I hope he doesn't become those fighters that doesn't get an opportunity till he's passed his best. THis tends to happen to avoided fighters.

 

Carl Froch is not more avoided than any other prospect out there. He had the opportunity to become a beltholder already but he didn't take it.

 

He's totally unproven, and lacks a right hand from what I saw. If a target is moving, he can't hit it. He talks a lot, and has not done anything yet. He is like 30 years old so he doesn't have a lot of time left.

 

That's why Pascal will be a pretty hard fight,he moves a lot.Froch ain't gonna have it easy

based on what i've seen from Froch he is a cant miss future champ. He does what he is supposed to due vs these potato sacks

 

Very flawed. overated by some but he has good intangblies, stamina, power and is awkward. However i think he will stop pascal late while behind on the card's.

 

Based on the Reid fight I think there's a lot of upside but also a lot to be seen.
You can get away with a lot when you're fighting mostly mid level opposition. How he deals with better fighters is the big question. The Reid fight showed some flaws but they could be corrected. He's never going to be 4 punch combo guy. He telegraphs too much. Looks a tad clumsy at times.


But he's entertaining "as all get out" to watch. I think he'd be huge in the states with his style of fighting. I can see why he has his fans.

Many people have said Froch needs to step up and agree but I would just say to all the Pascal fans that Pascal has also fought at a lower level than Froch. This fight is a step up for both of them.
