Nah, he lost clearly to Ward by 5-6 rounds. To Kessler by a couple of rounds. The Dirrell fight was very even.

But Froch also beat other top names in..

    Pascal (who drawed Dawson)
    Jermain Taylor (who beat Hopkins)
Johnson (who beat RJJ and recently Allen Green)
Abraham (AA had a tough run at 168, but is always dangerous and Froch arguably beat him clearer than Ward did)

Bute has the handspeed and accuracy to control range, and Froch has to respect his one-punch KO power.

If Froch amps up the pressure, I would not be a bit surprised if Bute puts him on his ass with a sweet counterpunch.

    Bute wins a decision.

Expect Froch to engage spoiling tactics to try and turn this into his type of trench warfare.

    Froch by decision.

Respect is due to Bute for going to Nottingham, but I think it's a decision he'll regret.

Bute is undoubtedly expecting Froch to suffocate him at times... he's been working on a Mayweather type of defence.... But don't get it twisted, he will brawl with him at certain high adrenalin points.

I think Froch's best possibility is to try to keep the fight at a distance because Bute has somewhat Dinosaur arms. But if that doesn't work he should go for a fight of the style he did for Dirrell, just better.

Froch has to use the fact that he is more seasoned than Bute and has seen more styles in action at the highest level.

If Bute can control the distance comfortably his chances are much better in my eyes, but I don't think he will consistently have success on that front. Froch is by far the best foe Bute will have ever squared off against, and I think Lucian will get his first official loss as a professional.

There is a bit of a difference between Ward and Froch.
