Did tonights fight make you a fan, just a little bit? Or do you still dislike the guy?

Fair play to him but I still dont think he's as good as HE thinks he is.
Saying that though self belief is a massive part of a fighters phsyche so good luck to the man....

The fight in a way reminded me of the old days - sort of Benn, Eubank etc era... real tear ups...

Personally I don't think he's that good in the wider scheme of things and think he will get outpointed, but he's entertaining, imho.

It didn't change my opinion as to his abilities (decent but nothing special at world level) but I give him credit for a great display.

Hasn't changed my opinion on him, he seems like a good bloke and has the right attitude but as Gaz says I don't think he beats the elite in the division, but he could be in some very exciting fights which will be on free TV, which is only good for boxing.

I'd back Froch to beat any other supermiddleweight out there. Pavlik too if he stepped up.

I gained respect for him, especially for his chin.

Another thing I appreciated was that he fought a clean fight. None of this hugging and clunching. I give credit to Pascal as well but he was clinching so that was a bit of a negative.

For crying out loud! He's just won the WBC title against a hungry unbeaten skillfull fighter. FFS!!! 'Nothing special at world level'. Some of you posters don't live on this planet i'm sure. To consistently be one of the top 10 fighters of any weight class in the world is 'something special'. To win a WBC strap in that fashion more so. Its time to get a bit of reality back in the forums! :patsch

good chin, but his style is trash, looked stiff but he came through!
I cannot hate, im glad he won, but he needs to have a defense!

Yes, impressed with his chin and heart plus he won a very exciting fight. I've not took much notice of him before because of the way he has ran his mouth has been a bit much for my liking.

Yeah he won me over no doubt. Exciting fights are hard to come by these days and I'd say he will be in some great ones in the future. Also he has has a fighters heart and that is always a big plus in my book. He wants it, really badly and not every fighter is like that

Before tonight, if asked I would have said Carl was all mouth. Credit where it's due though, he can fight and take a shot. I'd pay to see him fight Kessler.
I'd imagine that the guys at ITV loved the fight, not just for the result but as it was a good fight to watch for casual fans from start to finish.
Congratulations Carl Froch new WBC supermiddle weight champion.
