I like Froch, he's exciting to watch and has serious balls. I hope he does well in this super 6 but to be honest I think Kessler is completely wrong for him and will probably outpoint him big.
I've always liked Froch, one funny ****er. Good power, great chin, a bit too fond of doing a bad Jones impression though. I'd like him to keep his hands up more. He's got his flaws but his will to win and heart is fantastic. I was literally jumping for joy when he came back to stop Taylor. One thing you've got to say for him he must have the p4p hardest nose in boxing, how that corking great hooter hasn't been flattened is beyond me, a minor miracle.
Sillyjoow, your avatar looks like Vince Guaraldi, the pianist/composer of the Peanuts music. As to your point, Froch is pretty good and will have a decent chance in the tournament. It's really hard to predict the outcome because all of them have plausible possibilities for victory in each matchup. Should be great for the fans though.
I was not a big fan of Froch until the Pascal fight. That was the best fight I had seen on terrestrial TV in years. I do think he has his work cut out within the upcoming super 6 tournment though as there is some sheer class in there in the form of AA and Kessler. I see Kessler being the real issue as he is the same height as Froch, a superb technician and a high boxing IQ. If Froch can get through that bout (March I think) I think he has a good shot at winning it. I just hope the British public gets behind him. I don't want a repeat of what happened with Joe Calzaghe over in the UK when people only started to acknowledge him in the twilight of his career. If he performs well in the Super 6 though there will be no danger of that. I am already looking forward to the Dirrell fight on the 17th which I am going up to Nottingham for.
Mentally not many more rounded boxers...hes an academic ...1st class degee grad in sports science from my Bro's Uni Loughborough.... hes self motivated and is the most mentally accomplished fighter along with ABraham.
I like all 6 of these guys and have even more respect for all of them for fighting in this tourney against tough competition.
I like Froch. I hope he continues to do well. But he's not the most skilled fighter at world level, and I think he's destined to lose more than he wins against the calibre of opponents he is fighting at the moment. It'll be fun while it last though, and the guy is all heart, power and pride. :bbb
I don't think Froch is going to finish in the top three of the tournament. I think Dirrell is going to pick him apart. However, let the record show that I voted YES, Froch IS a beast. Froch is one guy who I do not see needing a replacement in this tournament, which is not something I can say for all the participants.
dirrell is gonna find out soon how tough froch is...:yepanother overhyped american sent back home with his 0 gone...:good
I like his attitude about wanting to fight the best. I haven't seen anyone who hasn't liked how he handles himself and the funny trash talking he does. The reason why anyone wouldn't like him is because of his fans. Especially the idiots who call every american who points out his flaws or predicts against him a bias american. Everytime I hear someone bring nations into the convo about 1 man I just feel they are stupid and they say that because they think that everyone thinks as ignorant as them. No not everyone is on that low wavelenth. And yes dirrell is gonna beat him and not because he's american. Because he is the more complete fighter with a HUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEEE hand and footspeed advantage.
Froch is alright. How can anybody dislike this guy. All boxers should have a big mouth. It gives us all something to talk about. After all its showbuss and its creates exitement.
