He's undefeated, beaten quality opponents yet because of one shitty fight, he doesn't 'walk the walk'? Nonsense. I'd have loved to see how such fickle fans were treated back in the 50's.
My apologies. My point was not to imply that everyone from England was still hyping this guy, but that the ONLY people to, would be from England. I hope that clears that up. Keith
But he was exposed as a guy with a heart comparable to Kevin Johnson's... This is boxing. It's a fight. People like Dirrell turns fans away with their negative style. He disgraced himself.
Pretty similar to how the whole world saw Dirrell as a spoiler...except American's, who bias makes them think this shithouse is the second coming of Sweet Pea.
No, he doesn't. He looked bad against Jermain Taylor and only won because Jermain Taylor is known to have stamina problems at the end of his fights. Good come back though, I just believe that he thinks he is better then he actually looks when he is in the ring. If that makes any sense...
Ohh, yeah sorry that makes sense. But yeah, obviously some fans will still be standing behind him. But I just don't think he is as good as he likes to think. Lets see what Kessler brings though, should be a good fight.
You could look at that and think "he's not that good" but at least he proved his heart and desire. I think he'll be too much for Abraham and Kessler, unless Kessler is smart and doesn't fight him. He's too active, hits too hard and takes too good a punch.
I agree with that, Dirrell cant expect to take the belt away from Froch fighting the way he did, Froch tried to engage, pushed the fight and was more aggressive, Dirrell landed a few shots over 12 rounds and the rest of the time he held and run, if he had commited himself a little more, took a few risks, i think he could have won that fight.
Hopefully that's one of the things he learned. Still, if he did learn that, he should wait until after Abraham to practice it.
