carl froch, underated by some hated by others, i find carl froch to be exciting, unpredictable, confident all which to me is normally what people look for in a boxer, i just dont understand why british people havent took to him, perhaps mick has something to do with it, british fans love calzaghe the guy was brilliant but never fought no one really but kessler, froch has beaten some top names, all his fights are exciting except from the dirrell fight who made it a stinker just never understood it thats all, also he fought for wales and all the sheepshaggers, carl froch is proud to be british calzaghe wasnt, i think carl froch throws punches froms some crazy angles which will always leave him open to some counters but he has took everyones pretty much, curious to see how he reacts to abrahams punches, just curious to see what you guys think on the abraham fight and why the british people havent took to him?
I think Carl certainly does have a very loyal fan base, but he excludes himself from many markets because of his public attitude towards Calzaghe. He's always bashed him in public, and it near enough blanks him out of the entire pro Calzaghe fan base (which is big). Personally, I like him. I went to the Dirrell fight and couldn't help but cheer him on. What kinda gets me is his lack of/unwillingness to box with a proper defence. Fair do's hes got a good chin etc, but he'd save himself rounds by defending what would otherwise be, a round winning combo/punch etc. As of now, I still think he's a big question mark. Honestly, I see Abraham giving him some horrendous problems. I class this fight as a "who throws the hardest, who can take the most, kinda brawl" Abraham being perhaps the biggest p4p puncher there is, along with his turtle shell defence, I think has a good chance to knock Froch clean out. I can't see Froch doing the same to Abraham, which means he has to win by points, and his 12 round performances have left a lot to question.
he is entertainiung, i think alot of people dot know who he is, because he hasnt fought on mainstream tv like calzaghe has. and then he was calling out calzaghe lke he deserved a shot which was tasteless if you ask me
I'm 99% positive that Abraham is going to KO Froch. I think Froch's chin is overrated, he's been hurt badly in each of his last three fights by Taylor (who knocked him down), Dirrell, and Kessler. None of those three have power like Abraham does. Only a guy who's quick, has good defense, and stays cautious of his power (ie. Dirrell) can beat Abraham. I don't think anyone can outbrawl Abraham, they can only outbox him. Froch is slower, has terrible defense, doesn't hit nearly as hard, and prefers to brawl rather than box. As soon as Froch starts trading with Abraham (which he does with every opponent he fights) he's going to get KTFO. I haven't been this sure of an outcome in a big name fight since Mayweather/Marquez.
Correct me if im wrong, but i look at the Kessler fight in the same way as Haye Vs Valuev. Not neceseraily the fight itself just the buildup. If u listened to Froch beforehand he was saying its going to be war etc etc however come fight night he had a total different gameplan, he tried to outbox Kessler but just didnt do enough to beat MK. If he was to use a similar gameplan, he could beat AA based on activity.....provided he survives AA's torpedos...
im a brit i like froch, iv seen him live a few times. he is exciting because he wants toe to toe in every fight, but his mouth is to big for his tallent....
Bro look at some of Hennesey's stable. Carl Froch John Murray Junior Witter What do they all have in common? - They are all relatively uknown compared to the likes of Calzaghe, Hatton, Haye, Khan. I most definetly think it's down to Hennesey being a lazy fat **** and not promoting his fighters. I don't know why the hell they stay with him. Froch has only started becoming bigger because of the Super Six. I think Frank would have done a much better job in promoting Froch. And one reason could be is that he always bad mouthed Calzaghe, trying to force him to come back and fight him etc etc and fans didn't like that. But the main reason imo is definetly Hennefat.

Yes, if Kessler and Dirrell could both take them than I assure you AA can take them. I think Froch's power is almost as overrated as his chin. AA was able to take Dirrell's bombs, and I think Dirrell hits just as hard as Froch. Dirrell was never really able to hurt AA despite hitting him with some of his best shots. He knocked AA down because he caught hi, with a great punch when AA was really off balance. AA didn't seem hurt at all from it.
I like Froch but he does alot that makes me turn against him at the same time if that makes sense. I like the fact hes willing to face anyone, been willing to travel and is confident. But dislike his comments after (fairly in my opinion) losing to Kessler. Find Froch frustrates me when watching him in how lazy he can be and how he comes close to losing fights he could easily win. One thing that Froch lacks is throwing combinations, because of this I think he will always lose to busy fighters, who can take a shot.
