I do not know carl froch well, I just know he will contest the World Championship vacant WBC. I'd like me even though you were talking about him, his style, his weak points, its strong points.
Here is my description of Carl Froch: Unemotional - no feelings - very unhuman - cold hearted - chilling - dangerous edge to him - capable of murder - unplesanant human being. Said he would "smoke Calzaghe's boots" with no emotion - uncomprimising ego - can never admit so someone being better will always make it look in a fight that he is not bothered by anything and it is easy for him - his ego and vain pride are immense. Chilling eyes and cold hearted. Dangerous man. Hurtful puncher - capable if hurting and KOing people. Ruthless nature Zero sense of humour Trys to be too "perfect" unlikeable person COLD Frozen Heart Good Fitness Awkward boxing style - but a bit too static Uncomfortbale person to interact with Ego of being the best in the world - does not match his ambition to date Carl needs to get a move on if he wants to become the most cold hearted ruthless unlikeable unemotional unplesant World Champion that has ever lived.
Carl is a damm fine fighter and a serious contender for a title. I am just glad he is not going the WBO way.
According to his promoter, Carl needs to win the WBC title and he will be the biggest name in world boxing. Hmmmm..... I think there are only a few months between Frochy and Floyd Mayweather. One has won five world titles at different weights and never looked like losing - the other has bleated on for three years whilst facing a string of opponents called up on ten minutes notice. His only claim to fame is beating Robin Reid better than Calzaghe did. Difference is, the Reid that Calzaghe beat was PRIME (and deserved a rematch BTW) - whilst the one Froch beat was shot to bits and looking for a new motor, hence the reason why he took the fight.
What fighters at Middle / Super-Middle / LHW do you reckon Froch would duck, I don't think he'd duck any of them. He might not beat them but I don't think I'd question his his heart or guts.
Carl Froch's career is moving along slower than it's taking for the Queen to die. Just dragging on and on and on where nothing is actually happening but people still come and see them.
I don't think Froch would duck anybody - he is a member of the 'who needs him' club. I think he would beat a fair few - but talking about doing it isn't enough, he has to actually do it.
I agree - Froch is a dangerous puncher. Not the greatest boxer in the world but he can bang. But exactly why would anyone want to fight Froch at the moment for little reward?
His career is a puzzler , hes been avoided no question but I think he could have done more himself to get the big names Hope its not too late for him !
I've only seen 1 froch fight early this year and a couple of clips. He might hav power but his punches look slow and of course his defense dont look too good. He has that posing style which is all good when your opponent doesn't push hard. But theres a good chance that it falls apart when punch output and pressure is turned up abit.
yeah that's a fair assessment. he'll never be a dominant champion with that disjointed style he has. but he may win a title cos he has a good engine and good chin.
I like Froch. He's basically been biding his time for a while for his shot at the WBC eliminator / belt, after he had a spell out with a knee injury. He's obviously been a difficult man to make matches for, because he hasn't really fought the opposition to prepare him for world level, but I still think he can be competitive at that level. I don't know anything of Pascal though (if that fight is even on) so I've no idea what chance Froch has...
