Carl Froch's 3 fight plan

When he loses to Bute, either Hopkins or Kessler will be his farewell.

He wants to make a some money and cash out.:good

 

I can see him retiring some time next year maybe at the end of early 2014

He will beat Bute again it might not be as spectacular as last time but i imagine at somepoint froch will close the gap and unload and we have seen that Bute cant handle Frochs power. Bute will have to really try and box and move but as we saw last time he wasnt that successful at boxing when under pressure and Froch had his main weapons well scounted the grin when Bute tried his first left uppercut to the body said it all. Team Froch had Buted well scouted they new what was coming.

Since the Kessler defeat Froch improved no end he concentrated on boxing stoped trying to take people out with one shot and became a real handful. AGainst Bute his hand speed was excellent he was landng 3 and 4 punch combinations that still had pop but werent those silly windmill shots that he thew v taylor and kessler

He would beat Kessler now know doubt in my mind. Kessler is shop worn and showing signs of being vulnerable hes been injured alot dropped and hurt v green and isnt very active Froch who is very much in his prime has to be a heavy faviourte to win.

The ward rematch wont happen Froch took it on the chin at the time and now tries to talk it down which is a bit annoying. He was beaten by a great fighter no shame in that... I wouldnt mind seeing Bute, Kessler 2, then a home coming against xyz and call it a ball game. That would be a superb career with lots of meaningful wins against top tier opposition.. He could maybe go up and take Cleaverly apart and get a piece of a light weight title if clev still has a belt at that point

 

Agree with this 100%. Froch is a warrior.

Think he stops bute late , beats kessler ud , but loses again to ward by ud. All should be cracking fights.

 

Good for Froch fans-but he will lose 2 if not all 3 of these proposed fights.Suggest he stay with the Mack's of this world.

 

Froch beats any version of Bute.

Froch should of beaten Kessler last time,but decided to try and take Kessler out,in doing so he spent most of the fight stalking Kessler instead of boxing him.Kessler remained busy and scoring with punches,whilst Froch continued to look for a single shot and stood and admired the few big punches he did land.

Ward is Frochs Kryptonite,styles make fights and Ward is just all wrong for Froch.Froch could make the rematch more competitive by having a better gameplan,but i still see him losing by UD.

Very surprised that Froch is looking past Mack.

 

Why is it possible Froch would lose to Bute ?

Why is it likely he'll lose to Kessler ?

Calzaghe may be a coke sniffing excuse making clown,but is he any worse than your hero who decided to hit the bottle after Nard schooled him ?

Tell us that one about how a fully fit,focussed Kelly would beat Froch,Ward and Kessler ?

I would like to see Froch challenge for a LHW belt before he retires. Maybe Chad Dawson for the WBC?

 

As much as i like Froch,and as tough as he is,i think he'd be found wanting at LHW.
Froch walks around at not much more than the 168 limit,i'm not sure he would have the physical attributes at LHW.
I'd love him to prove me wrong though.

 

He wont even beat bute.

Froch would finish out quite the career if he can upend Bute in Montreal and beat Kessler in the rematch.

He isn't beating Ward or Bute though, but I wish him the best :happy

 

This is why i ****ing love Carl Froch! The man will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime.

My ideal path would be Kessler in Nottingham, Pascal rematch at 175 for a belt and then a big unification fight with Cleverly before going into the sunset.

The Bute rematch looks like it's being enforced thougth (**** know's why, it was as conclusive as it gets), and a man like Froch will want a shot at rectifying his only two defeats.

 

Yeah, this. I can definitel buy the 'poor preperation' excuse for the Kessler fight, but Ward is just above everyone, simple as that.

Kessler and Ward are the only fights left at 168 that would enhance his legacy for me. Like you said rematching Bute again after that beating is pointless but a deal is a deal.

If he can't get those fights he should try and win a title at 175.
