Take me to school on The Cobra.

  2. Bute
    Abraham
    PascalTaylor
    Dirrell

Those were his hardest and biggest wins

He had some great performances at British level but I've gone for these as the title was 5 beat wins

Didn't beat Dirrell, nearly lost to Taylor, Pascal was a weight drained light-heavy, Abraham a blown up middleweight and Bute was well overrated, but still the only champion Froch has beaten.

Only because of Taylor's stamina issue.

For me I'd actually put the Taylor win near the top of the pile for my top of Froch's best wins. Major step-up for Froch, going away to defend for the first time, and stepping into world class.

    Abraham
    Taylor
    Bute
    Pascal
    Magee

The 5th spot is close between Magee and Johnson, I've gone for Magee because of the nice KO, the fact that Froch was up against it with the broken hand, and I wanted a domestic matchup in there.

Top three spots are all interchangable really - in terms of Froch looking at his best technically I'd go Abraham, best fight - Taylor, and the Bute fight was just awesome.

he has been in some great fights but when you really break down his resume it aint as impressive as he and his fans would have you believe. abraham has done literally nothing at super middleweight nor has taylor tho taylor was a great comeback win. johnson old and past it, pascal was a good win and bute was a stunning performance but his best 2 wins dont compare to calzaghes over kessler and lacy

You can break down every fighters resume and look at it negatively though. Look at Hatton's resume in a negative way and its awful!!!

I would agree that Calzaghe's win against Kessler just about tops Froch's best win, but not the Lacy win. If we're going to pick holes in Froch'sopponents then we really should mention that Jeff Lacy really wasn't that good at all.

I would say Froch's win against Bute was just as impressive as Clazaghe's beating of Lacy. in fact I would say it's better, due to the fact Bute is better than Lacy was.

 The funniest bit about this is about Bute being the only champion. The rest of those guys have achieved much more than Bute has.

You say that but Lacy hasn't exactly turned out to be a great win has he?

You mostly have to judge these fights at the time they were made I think rather than applying revisionism. There are exceptions, but it's the best and most fair way to judge.

If people say Lacy was overrated then I think time will do the same thing to the Bute win for Froch. Bute was dead on his feet against Andrade, who but for some scandalous Montreal hometown reffing would've won that fight. This being the same Andrade who Kessler had previously treated like a rag doll. Bute dealt with him second time around but a proper champ would never ever have gotten into that state against an Andrade at anytime.
