Funny, but my first reaction was "no way", but if you look at it objectively Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham is a slightly better resume than Lacy, Kessler, (old) Hopkins, (old) Jones. Only thing is Hopkins/Jones are HoF boxers on Calzaghe's list of conquests. Note that this is specifically a Super Middleweight comparison, and Hopkins/Jones were at Lt. Heavyweight if I am not mistaken.
It would be impressive, In Frochs fight before Pascal he beat an undefeated but unknown fighter, and has a faded R Reid on his record and B Magee who has gone on to win the European title. Im not sure if having these names on his record make his resume as impressive as Calzaghes overall, ie. Calzaghes (WBO 21 defences, WBC, IBF, WBA, Ring SMW & LHW titles) resume has Mitchell, Brewer, Veit (undefeated and has a win and loss with current WBO LHW champ Braehmer), Reid, Kessler (undefeated), Lacy (undefeated), Woodhall, Bika, Hopkins when he was Ring LHW champ, faded Jones but still Ring top 10, and Eubank who wasnt as past it as people want to believe at 31, consider he had fought around 6/7 months before he fought Calzaghe, and around 5 months before that both times scoring KOs (against low opposition) and before that lost a split decision to Collins. After losing to Calzaghe, Eubank went on to give Carl Thompson 2 tough fights at CW so hardly that past it, Eubank was favourite to beat Calzaghe. But back to Froch who is creating his own legacy and not avoiding anyone. Froch is in a good position in that the fighters hes facing are better known due to the super 6 than the fighters on Calzaghes resume, whether better or worse. Picking Froch to win MD against Kessler
