Anyone read it? Just bought it off Play for me jollies. Got Calzaghes for xmas so will read that too (I only have time to read on holiday).
Calzaghe's is a good read, won't take you that long though. This is what was wrong with Froch for the Kessler fight, too much going on when he should be concentrating on fighting. Far too early for him to be releasing a book unless he has already achieved all he is hoping to. Come on Carl get back to business and knock AA into next week. Pretty Boy (Roy Shaws book) is a decent read.
bet its intresting, think i will invest in a copy, mind you hope i dont have to wait 8 months, he would have had 2 more fights, and it might be 2 chapters short.:think
Chapter 1-growing up on the mean streets of Nottingham Chapter 2-The strict dad who was not too strict Chapter 3-The day some kid ran off with my bike: An experience that made me into the warrior I am today Chapter 4-Fights I had in school: Where I honed my amazing skills Chapter 5- The truth about why Calzaghe ducked me Chapter 6- An analysis of why I would have beaten Calzaghe Chapter 7-How I retired Calzaghe without even facing him Chapter 8-How Calzaghe almost ruined my relationship Chapter 9-How I finally conquered my demon-the evil Coke fiend Calzaghe I'm just playin so don't get mad
Bollocks, looks like play have clunged up. Gonna ask for a refund. Guess I'll have to read Bret The Hitman Harts biography instead!
Freddie Roach is releasing a book in October. [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wild-Card-Hard-Fought-Lessons-Life/dp/1616080302/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1280967221&sr=1-1[/ame]
I think you're over-emphasizing the time/effort required by your average athlete to "write" an autobiography. He probably spoke to a ghost writer for a few hours, handed over some photos and that was the end of his involvement.
That's a ****ing brilliant book. I'd bet dollars to donuts it's ten times better than Froch's, and im a Froch fan.
