To include Bute in that list is ridiculous. He simply never had the opportunity to get a big fight on the road. Bute would have traveled to the USA in a heart beat to get a fight against Jermain Taylor or Kelly Pavlik.

The fact is he didn't have a choice. It was either that or no fight at all.

Give it a rest already. It happened once in 24 fights. We all know that ref is never going to be in the ring with Bute ever again. Move on.

Yeah as much as i admire his guts/chin

He only wants BIG MONEY Fights .....he's been boxing all his career
against european journeymen for 200 quid a week why do you think
    he is calling out calzaghe.

Froch has absolutly no chance in beating calzaghe but it would be a big pay day for him and no shame in losing to joe.

Anybody who thinks Calzaghe could not fight is purely ignorant of boxing.

Yes, I like his mentality. But we must also remember to commend his manager. Far too often it is greedy managers and promoters who are the problem.

Yeah, he made a great impression when being interviewed in the ring right after the Taylor fight (particularly). Seems like a genuine good dude.

I suppose his maturity shouldn't be a complete surprise though due to his age.

Froch is genuine in his convictions...

he really beleive he is the best. When someone is as motivated and as single minded as that it makes him avery dangerous animal. he harbours no insecurities, he wants to take the challenge on.

I think Calzaghe senses that hence why he didnt fight, i think joe would have won, but dont be suprised if it was as close as the Robin reid fight. froch also throws the right punches to hurt Calzaghe.

I think his performace against Taylor was superb, considering he went into the fight without our TV backing knowing that his country neglected him , he had 50 fans travelling. To overcome the initial nerves and beat a rejuvanted + class act like Taylor is a tribute to his mental strength.
