There are a lot of anti/pro Carl Froch posters on here so it would be interesting to see what peiple’s perceptions are on his next fight options. I see it as below considering that he is very unlikely to move up in weight or try to unify the belts agains Bika/Stieglitz

    Groves
Huge interest in rematch that most likely will generate highest revenue. Controversial stoppage that Carl has opportunity to put to bed, however risky fight against a quicker and sharper fighter.

    Ward
The only man that Carl hasn’t beat, he would be a huge underdog however it’s the chance to avenge a defeat and pay could be significant from American broadcasters.

Kessler To complete the trilogy, it is currently 1 a piece and a decider in America would generate huge revenue.

    Golovkin
An interesting fight, Golovkin has huge power and Carl’s proven chin would make It an exciting fight, again American broadcasters would be very interested.

    Groves rematch

But what i think will happen is they will both have a fight in the meantime and the rematch will happen in the summer, which i aint got a problem with

An interesting turn of events is Hearn's admiration for the fight and the fact he thinks he can sell it. This will clearly interest Froch immensely.

Chavez Jr is out, he's rematching Vera, he was an option. Ward 2 probably does less money than Groves 2, Kessler 3 is probably in the same boat except it does slightly better than Ward 2.

All things point to a Groves rematch which is not the end of the world for either man.

Chavez Jr in Vegas was the clear front runner, thats not going to be made, so stepping outside of the box to make more cash doesn't look feasible for Froch right now.

There's plenty of interesting fights, but none of them are more profitable than Groves 2 as it stands.

after hearing Frochs comments since the Groves fight i suspect he has taken quite enough punches on that rock hard face .......

perhaps another option is to pack it in

Certainly can't see him retiring, even if it means going out on a loss to Groves the financial reward is far too tempting.

He underperformed majuorly against Groves IMO (taking nothing away from a superb performance) and there's nothing stopping him from winning the fight but adjustments obviously need to be made.

    Would love the rematch!

I think it is genuinely a tricky one. With a business hat on there are some pros and cons in each direction. The Groves fight is the biggest standalone purse. However if he loses, for Carl that will be that - likely retirement, so the fight in effect becomes a cash out. Going down any other route he may lose but will likely not take a beating off of Ward and can fight again. If Kessler were to win - less likely than a Groves win - then there is likely a fourth fight there if all wanted it to happen.

That depends on the size of the purse for Groves 2

Business hat is the only way to look at this, and quite right, Froch has a couple more pay days ahead of Groves so it could be a stocking filler while he waits for the air to clear with Chavez

No matter what you have on business hat or fighters cap? Froch only has one option and that's George Groves. Froch needs the fight just as much as Groves, but for very different reasons.

Personally I don't think froch needs groves at all he is already a multi millionaire, doesn't need to risk losing because if he does he will really have no option but retire because he would have no belts. So I think he will have a fight in vegas and maybe one more which would make him the same money combined as 1 fight with groves and go out on top. He under performed against groves thinking it was a easy fight, if the rematch does happen I think froch wins again albeit this time fairly!

I would not mind waiting untill the summer, if groves could come into the fight with a title of his own (Unlikely I know, I think all of the title holders except ward have fight scheduled) than it would raise the profile of the fight and anticipation still further. My main problem would be what if froch loses in the mean time? It would certainly take alot away from the fight, more so than a groves loss (Which incidentally would give froch the perfect reason NOT to fight him).

From a business point of view the kessler rubber match makes the most sense, should do decently financially as well as being a very winnable fight

I believe Groves is the only option

The only fight which would make sense money wise and 'Legacy' wise is GGG v Froch. Maybe even Adonis Stevenson. I think its pathetic how he feels he dont need to worry about Groves cause he 'beat' him.

The whole of the nation bar his camp feel that Groves was cheated out of that fight. I just feel if he is concerned about legacy he rematches Groves and gives him the chance he deserves.

Small possibility that Froch is dismissive of the rematch potentially to raise as much interest as possible in the fight?

Hearn has said often that the deal can be done so it could be a strategy to maximize revenue.

Probably not but worth a thought!
