Listen... Im not a Froch fan.. And so arent you i can see.. But I didnt belive that Froch would win against Taylor or Pascal. I didnt have faith in him when he fought Dirrell, Kessler... But he has proven me wrong everytime.. Just the fight against The road warrior i had faith in Froch but this time i was wrong the other way arround.. Froch sucked that fight.. I dont know where he is and its dammed hard to predict a Froch fight.. But since the Kessler - Calzaghe fight i thought he was a slow noskilled joke worse than Andrade.. Now i think he is a A class contender.. B +

mikkel kessler's got the best record at 168
5 of his last 7 fight have been against undefeated fighter but people dont talk about that

mikkel kessles last 10 fights 8 have been against fighter's that won their last 6 fights

people dont talk about how after 1 year out the ring kessler came back and fought ward and froch back to back when they were undefeated

carl froch is the wbc paper champion:verysad:verysad

mikkel kessler took his 0 and his belt remember:think:think

After the kessler fight calzaghe said he wanted two more big money fights and that's what he had. He fought his 2 highest possible pay days. He never avoided pavlik. I don't think there was ever really a suggestion that fights should happen outside of these forums. Admittedly a Johnson fight fell through on the back of some horrendous hand injuries that Joe was well documented in suffering from. Clinton woods gave Johnson all he could handle on their trilogy of fights and he was a level below calzaghe in my opinion.
The truth is that every single elite champion has retired or grown old with question marks about who they should of faced in the ring. You simply cannot fight everybody and there will always be another name on people's lips once one foe has been defeated. 4 out of joes last 6 opponents were favourite to beat him if this forum is anything to go by including jones.

Kessler's a very good fighter, I never said he wasn't, I really like Kessler as a fighter. You're actually going against your own point by saying that!

Froch fought Kessler in Kessler's home town and got a very close decision against him (I had Kessler just about winning as well). He helped damage Kessler's eye after which he went on to fight another world class opponent, whereas Kessler had to take a break from boxing as is actually quite lucky to be able to box again.

Whether he won or lost, froch has fought the best in his division. Even in his loss or perceived losses, its been a very close fight each time. Just because Dirrell and Ward are young and haven't fought over 40 fights doesn't mean they are world class. Ward a frickin olympic medallist for god's sake. Every fighter needs to work their way up and this tournament is their opportunity.

Froch has excellent depth to his resume without the truly elite wins.

He never called Froch truly elite :patsch He said Froch's resume has depth.

If you are saying that there are no truly elite fighters in the SMW division, how can you say that his resume is overrated? He's fighting everyone they put in front of him, a la your idol.. Calzaghe.

calzaghes resume. old eubank, old reid, overrated lacy, scraped past kessler with pitter patter shots, controversial decision against hopkins, very old roy jones.

wards resume. journey man miranda, very overrated green, headbutted kessler, scraped past a limmited bika and looked average against abraham.

its easy to disect peoples resume. could do the same to mayweathers and pacmans. i9nfact people do all the time.

frochs resume is great especially for the fact he's not a particually skilled fighter.

froch's last few fights (pascal-johnson) is a good run...but **** yeah his "resume" is over-rated. people talk like he's beaten marciano, louis, ali, tyson & lewis rather than the oppo he has...i don't think abraham or pascal or even taylor will be viewed as great wins a few years down the line. he arguably lost against dirrell...he did lose against kessler.

he's about to turn 34 & he'd done absolutely **** all (& made **** all money) until he faced pascal a couple of years ago. of course he wants the big ****ing fights. he's probably only a year or 2 from retirement.

i think you will find that 168 became "hot" after jc was gone...not the other way around. it was "competitive" cos he wasn't there.
