Froch's P4P List 1. Kovalev 2. Gonzalez 3. Andre Ward 4. Tyson Fury 5. Rigondeaux 6. Crawford 7. Alvarez 8. Golovkin 9. Frampton 10. Brook Interestingly, Froch doesn't seem to be overly biased on UK boxers, and seems to prefer those skilled in the sweet science over defence absent bangers. I pretty much agree with his list with the following mods. 1. Ward 2. Kovalev 3. Gonzalez 4. Crawford 5. Marquez 6. Rigondeaux 7. Alvarez 8. Frampton 9. Fury 10. Wilder
Apart from the fighters in the top 3 on each lists, both Froch's and yours are shyte and all over the place.
You tell me how Ward is number 1, explain yourself, he has not fought anybody of note in YEARS. Paul Smith, Barerra and Brand get you to number 1 P4P do they now? Ward fanboys are just beyond ridiculous.
Ward could coast for 10 years and still beat out Golovkin who in 10 years has fought absolutely no one.:yep Smith, Barrera, and Brand are just icing because they are the same level of opponent Golovkin has used his entire career fighting.
I never understood what pound for pound meant and someone had to explain it to me on here actually so based on my new found knowledge of what it means to be pound for pound I agree about Wilder having no place on any pound for pound list,in fact he wouldn't make a top twenty as his skill set is just so bad it's unreal. Deontay Wilder makes very normal top 50 opposition look like top ten pound for pound specialists, that windmilling s*** and falling over whilst trying to knock someone's head off is something I'd of thought would of been ironed out in the amateurs?
You just know that had Froch fought GGG then he'd be placed in his top 3. I like Frampton in there though, regardless of him ducking Rigondeux I don't think anyone would deny that he's got skills...
In fairness to Wilder I can't think of a current heavyweight who looks like he has p4p skills. Fury's awkwardness comes from his size as much if not more than anything else. I think the heaviest guy who looks like he'd be a force regardless of weight would prob be Usyk.
