I like Carl, but this is some serious BS he's spoutin'. A win over B-Hop would NOT be seen as him beating a geriatric... NO ONE even thinks that about the Kovalev win!

I mean, he said the fight's too risky, but then ended w/ saying that he would win and win in style.

Froch also expressed disappointment that Yusaf Mack made weight.

After the weigh in Froch said something along the lines of "I was disappointed he made weight so easy. I was hoping coming down from 175 would sap him." Look it up if you doubt it.

    ---------

Everybody just refuses to acknowledge the reality of RISK VS. REWARD that all fighters, managers, and promoters weigh for every single fight.

Everybody hates what Froch says because he keeps it real when he speaks and says what all the casuals and fanboys refuse to acknowledge. He often or even always has an agenda of his own but so does every boxer/trainer/promoter in this sport.

Carls a legend. But i would have enjoyed a Hopkins fight. i think it would have done good numbers and money and i doubt many would have said it was a poor fight to take apart from desperate froch haters.
btw froch's wife is fit as f*ck

I can understand him not wanting to fight Hopkins.. He is right, it is a lose-lose for him.

It would be a lose-lose situation and I would have favoured Hopkins to win convincingly, which would show what I have said before about the division not being as strong as it was a decade or so ago, but just better known

I agree, there is a strong chance 50 year old Hopkins would outbox him. Calzaghe would have boxed his ears off as well.

I don't think he expects Hopkins would be weak. I think he knows there is a chance Hopkins would win. He also knows not much credit would be given to him if he beat the old man..

I also think it is in the back of his mind that Calzaghe beat Hopkins 7 years ago, Froch has been very critical of Calzaghe, and that would look really bad if he were to lose to a much older version.

I honestly wouldn't blame Froch for fighting Hopkins or not.

    I agree completely.
I dont think many would think Chavez Jnr is a tougher fight at SMW or LHW than Hopkins, even at Hopkins advanced age in the sport
