Andrade fight was controversial granted but Bute did make amends in the rematch stopping him in only 4 rounds and Andrade was known as a durable guy back then.

I don't think Plant would be able to keep Froch off him and he would be worn down and stopped. The freak KO over Dirrell aside Plant is not really noted as a big puncher, he also didn't really punch with much authority vs Canelo either from memory.

Bute’s best win was probably against Grachev and he skipped the Super Six. Plant already proved he was better.

Froch barely beat Taylor and split fights with Kessler. That’s Plant’s level. If Froch could beat Plant, he’d do it by going down 5-1 on the cards.

Plant may pose some challenges as he is a pretty skilled and talented boxer and win a couple rounds. However, I'm confident that Froch's relentlessness would make the difference and stop Plant in the mid to late rounds.

Bro, Plant went life and death with Caleb Truax and he is known to gas bad in the later rounds.
Plant dominated Uzcategui for the first 8 rounds and then hit a wall. Uzcategui beat him up badly in those last 4 rounds.
Plant also gassed badly vs Medina, who caught him with a lot of good shots in the last half of the fight.
Canelo and Benavidez both beat the crap out of him for the same reason.

Caleb Plant has a terrible engine and his offense lacks any meaningful firepower. He is not on the same level as Kessler, Froch or Taylor. Plant is on the same level as Arthur Abraham and Anthony Dirrell. ****, my boy Badou Jack is probably better than him.

Depends if Plant could follow the 'on the bike' blueprint that Andre Dirrel set out - can't help but feel that Plant would gas late and get tagged with something big, and Froch can finish well when he smells blood.

But Plant showed he could go the distance recently with Benavides which not many were expecting so it's possible that Plant could pull an upset

But the smart money would be on Froch getting the late stoppage

If Truax can land right hand so cleanly and so frequently, then someone like Froch would murder the man.

Seems like Froch’s bread and butter was fighting guys like Caleb. So i’d go Froch.

Lol at not knowing that Plant beat the crap out of Anthony Dirrell and calling a 12 point win over over Truax "life and death."

He lost 7-5 to Benavidez at 168. He's the only guy to come anywhere near that close.

    Put down the pipe.

Anthony Dirrell was 38 years old and had not fought in a year. And at his best, Anthony was barely able to beat then 35 year old Sakio Bika. Bika who was clearly a level below Ward and Bute.

Plant might have officially gotten 120-108 cards over Truax, but he still got beat up in the last 4 rounds. Because once again he gassed severely.

And giving him 5 rounds vs Benavidez is rather generous. But hey, lets say he won those 5 rounds, so what? He still lost, just like he lost to Canelo. Plant is nowhere as good as you think he is. Anyone in their right mind would clearly agree that Froch would be favored over him.

Froch is used to guys having more speed, he would get to plant eventually if you fade against Froch it's game over and Caleb has moments where he needs a breather. Froch wouldn't let him have and he was a good puncher as well.

    Froch by tko11.

Plant has an extremely visible Achilles heel. He falls apart late, it's a pattern and has happened multiple times. Carl Froch is the absolute last person that you wanna have stamina/durability issues with because he never stops. He's kinda like the boogeyman or Jason. You walk or run or give up ground and he just keeps coming in on you landing and nothing you land dissuades him. Big hitters can't stop his progress and Plant can't punch. He has nothing that would stop Froch or even slow him down.
