Would Williams' jab dominate in a 15 rounder or would Tate's skills do the trick since neither would probably be kayoed?

If John slammed all 245 pounds solid on Carls chops he could have gotten lucky..

But in realism Carl would have out boxed John until he almost collapsed of exhaustion......

With all the skills Carl has, it's easy to say he would outbox John, but John fought better competition, and before the Weaver fiasco, took a pretty decent shot.In a close fight, John survives Carl's jab, outworks him, for a close split decision.

How come Tate fought a better competition than Williams ?
Williams stopped both Jesse Ferguson and Bert Cooper , gave Holmes n even fight (2 say d least) , fought James Tillis , some would have mentioned Berbick (so i mention him only 2 prevent a reply in this regard:yep) , both men were stopped by Mike Weaver .
Tate fought : Weaver , Berbick (but somehow got KOd by him :yep) ,
Coetzee , Knoetzee , Bobick , Mercado (about d same quality as Berbick :yep only less durable most of d time , I only mentioned him here because of his 20-0 (but null) record by d time he fought Tate and his KO1 over Berbick)
lets c their common opponents :
Weaver - stopped both , a huge shame 4 both.
    Berbick - KOd Tate , lost a decision 2 Williams .

Now lets remember that Williams also fought Tyson , Bruno , Morison and Alexander Zolkin so yes he was somewhat chinny but his
    This content is protected
only make it seem like he was any chinnier than Tate himself .
If u cut their careers at any age prior 2 Williams' challenge vs Tyson then u'll c that they were quite on par in terms of opposition faced , anywhere after it and Williams takes it big . Tate is slightly overrated while Williams is underrated .

Tate looks as bad on film as any fighter i've ever seen.

May have been in the tank or whatever, but based upon what i've seen i'd pick Williams.

Williams by decision all day for me. Tate might get lucky but realistically they would be no KO for either man.

Assuming we have both men at their best then Williams wins a UD maybe a MD.

I gotta agree with McGrain in that Tate was very poor to watch.
