Carl Williams had better skills, Cleveland hit harder.

I think there can be 2 outcomes: either Carl outboxes Cleveland or he gets caught like vs Weaver and eventually stopped

Cleveland was very tough to outbox, he beat 6'6 Ernie Terrell on my scorecards. Top boxer Eddie machen couldn't outpoint him

Due to Williams history of being vulnerable to left hooks I favor Williams to land and finish him

    Good fight.

I'll go with the consensus and go with the left hook of Big Cat to finish things. But it wouldn't be easy and it'd be a back and forth type heavyweight fight. I sure don't see a 1 way fight-like most heavyweight affairs--given the flaws of both guys.

And I wonder about Carl finishing the Big Cat if he got him hurt. I just never thought of Carl as all that much of a finisher & not taking advantage of a silver platter is huge once a guy steps up from B and C grade heavies.

I think Carl the truth Williams was the better fighter. Yes I saw what Weaver and Tyson did to him but I never saw the big Cat beat or deck a guy as good as Carl.

Why does truth beat big Cat? I think he boxed a lot better at range than Terrell could. Big cat was easy hit with jabs. I watched Billy Daniels put him on shakey legs so I don't think big Cat even has the best chin either.

If both guys were sluggers I'd go with the one with the better chin. They are not both sluggers and of the two Carl is the one who could deck rated fighters. I think chins are equal and one has the edge in boxing skill.

Carl the Truth beat Witherspoon on my card when losing to Tim Witherspoon by split decision. Big cat would not last four rounds against Tim.

Good arguments for both fighters and I can see it going either way based on what I've heard. The Truth was indeed plagued by left hand shots his entire career starting from the amateurs extending to his final days as a professional. Cleveland on the other hand had poor defense and would have been exposed to a lot of shots by Carl who I agree was the better boxer. This one is a tossup for me.

It's supposed to be "Carl Williams knockout Tribute" the music is awful but it's a highlight reel of his wins..

If it didn't work punch in that title.

Cleveland had the better chin than Carl. Carl could not stop a left hook if his life depended on it from his amateur days to his professional days. Cleveland had a great left hook.

The Truth was a nice boxer. Great jab.

There was talent in the 80s scene. I don't buy it being a weak era. It was by far a deeper talent pool than today. By far
