He is a totally different fighter now. That was only his 11th fight. Wlad got sparked 3 times. People seem to forget that.

 

thompson a very good fighter, but from what i remember he was getting that ass tamed by hayes throughout most of the fight until he caught hayes. he's talking as much smack as hayes is. beat him, yes he did, but easy i don't think so. most likely trying to get some attention for himself

Haye was punching Thompson at will, which was the problem. Same reason he lost to guys like Solis in the AMs, he couldn't pace himself and put it all on the line early. Nowdays he throws far less punches and is much more selective, though thats not necessarily a good thing, ideally he would have just worked a lot harder and got to the point where he could maintain a high work rate.

 

It was wlads 2nd fight in less then a month against a steel chin in purrity, an it was also wlads 13th fight in less then a year, so one can say he was a little more burned up then hayes,,,,,,Pizza face was beat down by a 40 years old, with plenty of rest before the fight, four months,,,an the guy he was fighting had 6 losses, an everyone was a knock out loss but one, so yea this is a good inflamatory thread,,,,,,,'purity never said his victory was easy, i'm sure he was in the same hospital as wlad after that fight, cause he took a big beatdown till wlad lost his energy:hi:

Listen you slag, Thompson is one of the most honest & humble pro's you'll ever know of, and is hugely respected in the boxing world, so how ****ing dare you speak of him such an irreverent tone. Why the **** would he want any shittalk-spawned attention?

Thompson knows more than anyone how rough the first 2 rounds were, the "easy" reference obviously points to how quickly he broke down Haye (not hayes), when Thompson was only just getting going himself.

 

Taking punches IS easy for Thompson. How many of you stupid ****s have ever seen any of the mans career?

He thrived off taking abuse and coming back, and he's completely right that he broke Haye in numerous ways.

 

Must not seen the purtiy fight, that was a beating,,,,hayes had the best of thompson, but it was alot more competive, an the punches thompson dished out helped in hayes down fall,,,,wlad was just gased,,,,he landed more leather on purity at the end of 4 rounds, then hayes landed on thompson in 5, an these were heavyweight shots, buy WLAD,,,,,That is my point,,,:hi:
