So, you think that Vitali will tear his rotator cuff again? That's what you're saying? Or you think that Haye will win the same "Cut Lottery" that Lewis won against Vitali? Maybe Vitali's skin will give out like it seemed it might against Johnson? Other than that, there really isn't any blueprint for beating him. You have to hope that somehow his body fails him, either via a torn body part or else a cut like the main one against Lewis that came by way of glove laces rubbing against his face. Haye, on the other hand, fought a guy who simply absorbed his shots and let him gas out. At cruiserweight. Haye is not a stamina king, and that isn't going to improve at HW. If a guy like Thompson -- at 40 years old -- can weather Haye's shots, I'm willing to bet that Vitali K -- who has never even been off his feet as a pro boxer, including against Lewis and Sanders -- can do the same. So, there's a strategy there. Especially when you throw 60-70 punches/round as Vitali does. Against Haye, one can draw up a fairly simple blueprint, especially if you have a Thompson/Vitali kind of resiliency. For Vitali, there is no blueprint, except "pray his body gives out." Which is now joined with "hope he gets old in the ring." David Haye has a ZERO PERCENT chance at beating Vitali Klitschko if Klitschko isn't cut or doesn't suffer an injury like against Byrd. That is the lock of the century.
mate shut the **** up..those cuts were from lewis's gloves hammering vitalis face. Jesus next well be hearing Lewis was on steroids and he cheated against Vitali because Vitali says so! Right so the fact he went 12 rounds against a 'super' heavyweight doesnt show his stamina has improved!! Get the **** outa here! Vitalis power is not what it was. Johnson was taking his shots with apparent ease in his last fight and heck he was just in there to survive. Right so a guy who has a 89% knock out rate has 0 chance to KO vitali. Boxing is great because there is that possability of a perfect/powerful shot landing..Haye has power therefore he has a chance of knocking out vitali. atsch
No, I don't think that. But I'm pointing out the ridiculous assumption that there is 0% chance can beat Haye because he lost to Thompson. This fight was 5 years ago; Haye is far more disciplined and far more adaptative now then back then. It's not like he goes gung-ho every fight now, the Valuev fight showed that he can pace himself. I disagree. Vitali isn't the perfect fighter and if you aren't the perfect fighter, you can be beaten. Can Haye be the one to exploit his flaws? Maybe, maybe not. I think it has improved by virtue of him not having to cut weight and him having more energy come fight night because of it. Like I said, this fight was 5 years ago. If Haye approached every fight the same, he would of tried to knock Valuev out, gassed after 3 and been KO'd. It didn't happen. He probably could take Haye's shots pretty well. But unfortunately for you, if the fight comes off, Haye isn't the same inexperienced, unadaptable fighter in the Thompson fight. You think he will run in unleashing big, big power punches on Vitali and gas again? Think again. So you're gameplan then is for Vitali to use his face for the first 3 or 4 rounds, take Haye's shots, and then knock him out when he's exhausted? Sounds to me like you're 'fairly simple blueprint' is reliant on Haye's body given out; relying on him gassing. You are an absolute tool. Now I'm not saying that Haye should be the favourite. But by what virtue are his chances of beating Vitali zero? He's got the advantage in speed of hand & foot. He packs more venom in his punches nowadays, and he's elusive. I think Haye's elusiveness will give Vitali some trouble given Juan Carlos Gomez did in the first 6 or 7 rounds when Vitali couldn't time him. And I think his speed will aswell.
It wasn't so easy, that's all pure bull**** and attention seeking and I can't blame him, it's his life/job he's trying to put his name up and remind people especially with Haye's success. Haye beat the living hell out of him till Haye ran out of gas, Haye had him hurt numerous times and had him looking like he's going to get KO'd soon. Thompson took a serious beating before Haye ran out of gas and he capitalized and knocked him out. It was a great unexpected victory but not easy at all, just look at how Thompson looked. A good example of a good recent big win is Hatton vs Pacquiao.
Calumbo, Tommy -- if, and that is a gigantic IF -- David Haye ever signs to fight Vitali Klitschko, I will accept your apologizes the night of the fight. Lock. Of. The. Century.
