with all due respect to his opponent, he doesn't appear to be overly skilled. if webb is so talented, then at least put him in with someone a little more credible.
Exactly. Just look at KT's first opponent on Fenech v Nelson card. He was a neville and KT was a world jnr champ with over 100 am fights........ Carl Webb had a couple of am figts about 15yrs ago - big difference
i have been hearing for over 6 months about how good carl webb is and he's not like the other footballers who now box, this guy was a star boxer before he played footy he'll give hoppa and co. hell if they fight etc. etc. if he is still playing footy , then i can understand. i realise connections don't want to throw their fighter in with a decent banger too soon, but i thought he would have been up against someone a little better. he won 1 fight and the guy he beat has been ko'd in his only other 3 fights. anyway, good luck to lewis.
aaah but he lost his first 3 and won his last fight.like Kirino Garcia hes had a slow start.Webb will KTFO and miss 6 months of the NRL season.:deal
I wouldn't call Darrell Hiles a neville. He represented Australia at the amateur world championships and managed to win state titles, fought for the Australian title and won an IBO world title during his career. Go through his record, he fought everyone.
Good point. Zab only lasted 4 minutes longer. Looking back on KT's record, he fought some excellent fighters, very early in his career. Juan LaPorte, although faded, what an opponent in his 4th outing! Livingstone Bramble in this 10th outing. Interestingly, I ran into the Pit Bull in Las Vegas. I asked him about the hardest puncher he ever faced. Without hesitating he replied: "Shannan Taylor, easy". I replied "Kostya?" He said words to the effect of "he can punch too, but Taylor was something else". I suppose it should be noted that KT went the distance with him at 140, while Shannan blasted him in a round at 147lbs.
