Carl webb on mundine undercard

No, I've just heard he'll be managing it with his footy career, but he is keen to have a real crack. It was something that was written into his last contract.

 

I'd say he wont miss out on punishment during boxing training, Billy Johnstone compiled 26 pro fights while playing first grade footy in brisbane and held the aussie middleweight title. From all reports he is a demon on the training paddock

 

why bag him for? He was a good amateur boxer that went and played footy - now wants to have a fight. Is it his fault that he already has a profile? He wants to get in the ring for a stink and will fight a nobody but do you expect him to jump in with Tua for his first pro fight??

Good on him for having the balls to do it.

i dont think people are bagging Carl.i think it has more to do with it being a farcical Mundine ploy to use a person from a higher profile sport throw him in the ring with a can who is **** too boost PPV's rather than giving real fighters a chance too show their stuff.good on Carl he ill probably get payed far more than all the other UC fighters who slug it out for peanuts and Mundines money spends exactly the same as someones who isnt a ****.

but Webb's already got a gig paying 250k a year so he isn't gonna risk injury to get paid peanuts.

 

Yep - give the local bloke who's had a few years in the game, and deserves an opportunity, the chance! Those guy must feel bloody ripped off when turkeys like Garry Gurr get bought over and paid well to fight footballers on big cards.

 

Dont care for Webb as a player or person but he does have a boxing background ..

Though i cant see this being the start of a genuine fight career...

Its is disgusting...Gurr will probably get atleast 10-15grand for the bout.Dont forget Les MANBOOBS Mason got 25k for his debut on a Mundine card...

I dont know the ins and outs of oz pro boxing shows but those kind of figures would struggle to be payed to our main eventers..

 

Mate without getting the violin out and telling my whole story i have just been sorting some things out...

All good now and actually training to have my first MMA fight mid next year...Though havent ruled out boxing again...

yeah sure am mate, thats my little boy Jaxxon, he is 5 months old now and i could be happier.

 

Im thinking about training with my mates camp.Hes lucky he has sponsors and can fight and train fulltime...All early stages for me..

Having a son would be great..Carry on the family name...
