Both guys were past it but truth arguably more so. Entertaining fight but I felt sorry for Williams who got stopped in the tenth. This content is protected
Bruno was still pretty good, but Williams right about to fade into his final decline. He looked pretty good against Witherspoon two years other, as well as his bout with Morrison two months before, but this would be about it for Carl. Frank would go on to fight pretty well against a green Lewis, as well as beat an out of it McCall. A lot of fighters have really entertaining brawls when they're starting to decline... Smith - Weaver II was also a pretty good fight from around this time with a similar case. I think that the 90's contained a good bit of fights like this, brawls where two guys let out some of the last of their talent. A lot of the fighters of the late 70's and 80's had pretty good longevity.
Just kidding earlier. As you said, good highlights. Both guys were past it but still entertaining. Great stuff.
Yeah it was one of the rare occasions where another fighter out jabbed Williams. Truth had lost a lot of his skills by this point. Still not sure who’d win prime for prime though
Even tho Bruno had the power and Carl s chin wasn't the best, I still think he'd have beaten Frank in his prime. Williams was a bloody good fighter, had the misfortune of meeting Holmes and then Tyson.
