Magoo!!!! U can...post!!! Lol. Just being silly.

I think you're right. Both were rather ordinary now that it's been 30 yrs. since they competed. But both were up 4 a good battle from time to time. I recall both of them being in at least 3 REALLY good fights.

The outcome is difficult 2 predict. Since both had off-on success, either is a viable pick. I like Williams 4 an embarassing UD 4 Coetzee. Hell,
big Tate did it w/ ease, and he had NO chin. Williams could take a little punishment. After all, he survived two knockdowns from Tillis and Ferguson apiece, and floored Morrison twice after being floored twice himself. And being knocked out by the bombs Weaver decked him w/ was no disgrace. However, Coetzee had the good howitzers required 2 knock out Williams as well. Fairly good fight. I feel like Williams' style would prevent it from its maximum level of violence.

My original thought was that Coetzee’s bionic right crashes home for an easy KO, but the more I think about it the more I see The Truth surviving some scary moments (and maybe a knockdown) and taking control with his jab maybe around the midpoint and cruising to a competitive decision.

I cannot recall Coetzee being worth much past the 10th round and I think Williams is sturdy enough to last that long.

    The Truth by UD.

You can make a good case either way, but I pick Coetzee. I see overall more success and consistency on his record. I'm guessing Gerrie lands the big right once or twice and takes him out.

I'll pick Coetzee as well. He peaked higher and hit harder. That said, Coetzee could also be inconsistent.

Williams on points. But a dangerous fight for him, he could end up as he did against Weaver.

It would be a dull fight like Coetzee v Tate.
A close decision, could go either way.

Williams close UD. I think his jab would be the key, but he would have to be on his guard all night. If this was a 15 rounder, he may not make it. But a 12 or 10, he could keep Gerrie at bay.
