Harsh but true. Hamzah Sheeraz didn’t earn a draw though. I had it 117–111.

 

Adames is a solid name in a dreadful division. He beat Sheeraz, got robbed on the cards, and is now left picking up the scraps of the division while Sheeraz is being talked about as if he's the next Tommy Hearns at 168 because he flattened Bumlanga.

 

Your weird opinion doesn’t change the fact that most boxing fans thought Adames won. Sheeraz has all that power but refused to even fight in some rounds.

Punch stats tell half of the story, first of all, and second of all, CompuBox, for example, which I’m assuming you got your stats from, shows 0 punches landed in round 11 of Martinez vs Aleem, which happened today and which I can assure you had punches landed in the round. Also, punch stats don’t show the look of defeat on Sheeraz after the fight, they don’t show Turki going to Sheeraz’s corner to tell the score, and they don’t show Sheeraz crying in his post fight interview with massive bruises on his face. The truth of the matter is, people who actually watch fights closely, tracking punch quality, effectiveness, and overall control, will probably agree with the “noble savage” interpretation of a fight, rather than the boxing fan midwit who just looks at CompuBox. Just watch the fight and look at the punches and ask, "Who would you rather be?" The great Uysk once said, “I’m very feel,” which can apply to being a great boxing scorer.
