    Bornea's attempting to stick to the plan that's worked for him so far and despite a few good left hooks by Martinez, Bornea is landing many good shots. Martinez then lands a number of punches that have Bornea hurt. Bornea bounced back well from that but Martinez hurts Bornea again at the end of the round.

    Martinez being consistent with his relentless hooks and overhand rights, Bornea has no problem taking them and the ref waves it off. Kind of a soft stoppage since the ear wasn't so debilitating that Bornea was receiving a totally one-sided beating but I guess it's not worth the extra punishment.

    Thank God. I know it has to be frustrating to Bornea, but that sort of injury can really be bad in the long term. It clearly took a lot out of him, the rounds weren't as even after.

    Disappointing the ear happened, since it was a very even fight til then. The scores could've been all over the place and it would've been fine by me.

    Respect to Jade Bornea. Doubted this guy his entire pro career but he is world class, he belongs. Can't wait for him to get another title shot.
