This is the true Rocky story. A unknown Argentinean goes into Zab Judah's backyard, with thousands heckling him from the time he gets into the arena to the time he gets into the ring, and unseats the then undisputed Welterweight champ of the world, while turning the entire Arena to his side. Classic.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be watching it.

Didn't Bell upset Mormeck on the card too?

Decent fight too, if I remember. Not all that boring. Carlos put the pressure on bell to bell, and Zab forgot to throw.

****ing Zab! Always finds a way to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. So after Baldomir embarrasses him what does team genius do next? What else? Go after Mayweather :patsch

A good trainer should be tried before he retires.

I always found it incredibly strange that Baldomir had the KO percentage of a paulie malignaggi but still managed to badly hurt champs like Judah and Gatti. Jake Lamotta syndrome, I guess.

Well Carlos was a very strong puncher, not a 1 punch KO artist. If he hit you flush enough times, you'd go down. Not to mention the constant pressure he put you under.

Sorry to go off topic slightly but does anyone else think it would have been funny to see Mayweather's reactions when this fights was happening..."Zab no, your f**king up the whole plan". Judah losing this fight probably set Mayweather back a year, anyone agree?

Agree. I imagine it was alot like the Foreman Frazier fight was to Ali. The clear path to the undisputed welterweight championship of the world was no longer clearly defined.
