Carlos Condit should not get to wait for GSP

Carlos Condit is carrying 0 injuries and GSP is coming off a big one along with the fact that he is out until November, possibly early 2013 and not to mention its dangerous to step back into a fight of this calibre after an ACL injury, so there's grounds for him to have a lighter fight before stepping right back into a title defence against Condit, though it would really mess things up should he lose.

But there's just no way Carlos Condit should get to wait it out until GSP comes out, there's just no way now that Hendricks beat Koscheck. If Koscheck had won that fight, then fair enough I could deal with it but now there's 3 top welterweight challengers (2 of them are fighting to decide who's the other next to Hendricks) and there's nobody else near that with the exception of Nick Diaz (who could be out a year so won't be available before GSP's back anyway) and Rory MacDonald who's getting a slow build, maybe I'm missing someone but there's nobody who's a clear cut top contender.

Ellenberger/Kampmann are fighting in less than a month and there's still 6 months until the soonest GSP can return, and now this fight is starting to hold up the line. Condit vs. Ellenberger/Kampmann/Hendricks needs to happen, its only fair, otherwise that's 3 fighters in line for GSP unless they make Hendricks vs. Ellenberger/Kampmann in the mean time but I don't think they need to, they've got enough time to give Condit a fight before GSP. This is just not fair to the contenders, and I'm noticing more and more fighters are getting the opportunities to wait it out and if it keeps happening and interim titles keep getting created (which looks somewhat inevitable with Cruz's injury), they need to knock this **** off.

I would prefer to see Condit vs. Kampmann/Ellenberger (even if he's fought them both, there's unfinished business for either fight) and Hendricks get the next title shot. Hendricks having wins over both Fitch and Koscheck too is great for a GSP fight, should he beat Condit.

Meh, he'll have to wait for the winner of Jake/MK to recover anyway, may as well wait for GSP. He said he's doing light training and will be back at 100% in 2 months, the JE/MK fight isnt for another month or so. GSP will have recovered before both of them. Pointless giving up a shot at the number 1 at WW for that imo

The times are a bit messed up for Condit vs. Ellenberger/Shields but I think its possible if GSP is out for longer than November or takes a tune up fight (which is quite improbable) but even if it doesn't, Hendricks/Condit should happen.

The whole point of an interim belt is to keep the division title active. I agree Condit should be forced to fight Hendricks.

The whole point of an interim belt is for advertising purposes. You gotta beat the Champ to be the Champ
