Very interesting fight. Condit has an awful lot to gain and to lose. Meanwhile, I can't see BJ winning a 3rd fight against GSP, so I'm not really sure what he's even doing at welterweight.

BJ seems like he is drifting around in UFC limbo at this point

I love the fact that the UFC put big fights together but they irritate me with rematches. Its important to make a big fight but not repeat a controversial fight? That doesn't make sense.

Fitch vs BJ should be a rematch. Even Rampage vs Machida should be a rematch. Hell, Dana needed time to think about Edgar vs Maynard being a rematch.

One of the biggest flaws in boxing is so many fighters move on with their careers and leave controversial fights behinds. It just hurts their legacies and fight fans talk about it for years.

I would much rather see this than Penn vs Fitch II, from a fans' perspective. Condit vs Penn will be a thriller. I hope BJ is at his sharpest, because if he isn't then he could be in trouble.

It does beg the question though, what the hell is going to happen to Jon Fitch's career?! It just does not seem to have any trajectory or momentum, or even purpose. He must be praying that GSP moves up to fight Anderson after Nick Diaz.

Penn-Fitch 2 makes more sense in terms of the title picture because Fitch is still more deserving of a title shot imo even if he isn't finishing guys, whilst this would suggest Condit gets a shot if he wins. I don't see him winning however, although this fight will be great wherever it goes.

Neither Fitch nor Penn have shown anything to suggest they deserve another shot. The Fitch fighting today is the same Fitch that was fighting 3 years ago. Ditto with Penn. Neither of these guys have been performing in such a manner that suggest they could beat GSP if given another chance.

Then a rematch should be made but not for the eliminator. Condit can fight someone else. It doesn't have to be an eliminator. The UFC has no ranking and often only allow an eliminator for 1 fighter should they win.

BJ Penn is going to catch him, take him down, choke him out.

This is going to get real interesting if N Diaz can do the impossible and beat GSP.
