A week from now in Uzbekistan's capital of Tashkent for the vacant WBC Interim belt. The fight will headline what is a fairly solid card for the WBC's annual convention. The fight itself is quite peculiar. Two former world champions, perhaps past their prime, but this should be a good fight. Ironically the last time these fought two fought on a card together was in November of 2015 when Cuadras defeated Koki Eto to retain his title, whereas Guevara surprisingly lost it to Yu Kimura, and kickstarted his road to obscurity. (You can argue that the Teraji defeat was the real reason, but for me the Kimura loss was the catalyst for Guevara's disappearance from the big scene.) Cuadras has had a turbulent road ever since 2015: From defeats to Gonzalez, Arroyo, Estradax2, Rodriguez. Went to rehab due to drugs and etc. Still, I do think Cuadras and Guevara will give it there all and will produce a very good slugfest. I'm more excited for this fight than any other fight next week. Ah man no love for this fight?? Will definitely catch this one! Love Guevara but feel he’s been on a decline after the Kimura loss. The Yaegashi win was good years ago but hasn’t done much. Cuadras, although a bit shot (?) now may win by KO. Anyway, hope it’s a good one!
