    Few comparisons.

Carlos de Leon started pro career at 15, like Canelo. And started it at 135 division.

At 18 he was fighting at Welterweight.

Later Carlos de Leon went on to win Cruiserweight title 4 times, scored 11 world title wins at CW (6 by KO), including 5 wins over world champions.

Dingaan Thobela, a career SFW and LW, former two-time beltholder at 135, moved to 168 near the end of his career and KO'd Glenn Catley for the WBC SMW title.

I find it quite interesting, and since Canelo is more skilled boxer than both, he should be favored heavily against Makabu (who by the way is not better than any of the beltholders on the De Leon resume).

Though I'm certainly not a fan of Canelo, I expect him to KO/TKO Makabu regardless of the weight limit, would it be 185, 190 or 200 lbs.
