As I have been saying, Kirkland is nothing special. He was knocked out by a journeyman Ishida. He got lucky that Angulo punched himself out. Last night he was exposed by a guy in the top 10 and was lucky that the ref called a bull**** dq.
Kirkland does not have a chin. I saw what Ishida did to James and Canelo would do it worse. Canelo has more one punch power than Ishida too.:deal
If it was that simple Mayweather would have an L on his record. Its the ref call yet he went and chatted with other members of the most corrupt SAC in the US before deciding to dq Molina. If you think for one second that the same result would have happen if it was Kirkland's corner men you are more ass backwards then the ref.
It also says that if the corner wants the right stopped to NOT throw the towel or anything else into the ring? So lets go back in history and change all those tkos into dq's. Hopkins DQ12 Trinidad Cotto DQ7 Foreman :happy That's what legends are made of.
"Entering the ring during a count or the bout and interfering will subject the corners boxer to a loss by DISQUALIFICATION." Do you think the criteria were met? Note it asks for interference in addition to entering the ring. You could make an argument for it, but it'd be lawyerly, and contrary to what everyone saw. Here's 2 other rules that muddle it some more: "The bell to end the round should not be sounded by the Timekeeper during a count. In the event that a knockdown occurs at the end of the round and the bell rings, the Referee will disregard the sounding of the bell and continue his mandatory count. The Timekeeper is to ring the bell after the count and the Referees evaluation." "During the round, seconds: b) Must not mount the stairs or apron or enter the ring until the bell indicates the end of a round." The only clear cut thing here is that the timekeeper was in the wrong. You'd think that'd afford Molina's corner some leniency, since interference is a stretch.
Again you frustration is leading to these tedious pedantic examples. It does not say that a fighter must be dq'd if the towel is thrown in. It merely asks them not to throw anything in the ring. Keith
