Carlos Molina Speaks about the Kirkland Fight (AUDIO)

The question is, would Molina have been winning if the referee actually did his job and started taking points for the gratuitous grab fest that was going on for long periods of the fight?

Take away that, and he would have had to come up with another strategy that didn't involved laying on your opponent and hitting on the break.

I'm not excusing Kirkland for his terrible performance. Kirkland said he "stuck to the game plan" and I would like to know, wtf kind of game plan was that? Obviously not one your corner was happy with, hence the berating he got everytime he went back to the corner.

With all that said, even if you look at Molina's previous fights where he got "a raw deal" (He didn't deserve to win the second Chavez Jr. fight, IMO), he did not do what he did in this fight with Kirkland. He was outright cheating, spoiling, whatever and just trying to get the W.

People criticize fighters for much less these days, and you have this dimwit bending the rules almost all the way and getting praise for it?? C'mon son.

 

I'd rather eat **** than watch this guy fight again.

one things for sure, Kirkland is an overhyped joke!!! Outmuscled and bullied by a weakling, KO'd by an even bigger weakling the year before.....he's supposed to be this big bad machismo muther****er but he's soft as ****!! Kirkland is going nowhere, he's C+-B level fighter not a top 10 fighter or a legit contender. Might make for some decent excitement as a FNF fighter if he doesn't get his brain scrambled or quit the sport before his inevitable fall in the ranks. Dude can't box, has over rated power, can't take a punch and is clearly not a very strong dude either, I fail to see what he has that will trouble anyone in the top 10.
