Carlos monzón vs Roy jones jr 15 rounds!! 160 pounds

It's not RJJ fault his competition was lackluster. And besides Emile Griffith who else is Monzon best win? RJJ was so good he made above average competition look like trash. But Jones in that lackluster 70
s competition RJJ is going 100-0, he beats Monzon 3 times in that 100-0 run.

 

I cannot say that anyone ever beats Roy in his prime at 160. He was so much faster and crushed w power at 160 that I just don’t see Carlos taking it .. I’d say it would be a rare time that Monzon would be exposed as beatable .. Monzon often doesn’t look great but his sum is greater than his parts and he’s a beast on top of it but I see Jones having a field day ..

 

Monzon's greatness as a MW champ cannot be denied, but I think he is clearly outclassed in this one, largely due to Roy's advantage in speed. Jones "speeds" his own way to a close but clear decision.
