Thanks, I did not know racing had much fighting as he said, lol!
Although having a thinner windshield is a huge caveat.

I'm not an expert in windshieldbreakology. On the one hand I've heard of thrown fruit breaking a windshield. On the other hand I've heard of actual bullets deflecting off a windshield, which I would not have thought possible.

LaMotta was simply a street thug who could really fight.

I could be wrong but I suspect that Monzon was a typical narcissist who truly believed that he was God's gift to women and couldn't accept rejection and had a jealous temper. I would say that Lamotta's jealousy was fueled by insecurity. Monzon's was more about control and image. Either way, even the most devoted women get sick of that kind of behavior. Beautiful ones even faster.

Unfortunately some of the most devoted woman are more likely to tolerate abuse & humiliation due to their pasts, parents & insecurities.

And beauty tends to give one more options & often ego...But that can easily be overwhelmed by early negative conditioning + deeply felt yet often subconscious feelings of inadequacy, feeling they deserve abuse, that they cannot find another Love, that they can reform an abuser, that being a martyr increases their virtue, they have Daddy issues, that this is the way someone does legitimately love rather than selfishly use to shore up huge personality problems....

Unlike some, I do find this a dilemma. Just about every Boxer I have known has been the sort of bloke you'd happily recommend to your Sister as potential Husband material. That's the way Boxers should be. We all talk about how the sport gives a lad self discipline and standards and in so many cases, it does.
My Dad was a Soldier and he reckoned that every Company had a psychopath or two. I guess it's the same with Boxing.

The other thing we have to remember is that boxing is one of those sports that is quite receptive to the Alpha male. With so many alpha males there will be plenty of bad eggs.

By most accounts Jake LaMotta it appeared to change quite a bit after getting locked up. He was always telling his jokes and was more lighthearted.
