Perhaps Mcvey should edit his follow up post as requested.

Edit at the bottom of the post, then go in and clear out the whole message, even my quote above, then save it. Just clear it out and put "deleted" in it.

...............Though I personally had no problem with the pictures as shown, I applaud the thoughtfulness given to taking it down for the consideration of others.

I didn't have any problem with them, and found it interesting, personally.

Bit more visceral than "Monzon died in a car accident".

He was a great fighter and I thought people would want to see them. But I must confess that others would find them distressing. No two minds are the same, but some are on the same wave length.

Some people are into great fighters so much that they would be interested in seeing such graphic content of one of their favourites even in death.

I don't know if I'd even call them graphic since there was no blood, and he was wearing roughly the same amount of clothes he did on fight night, though I can understand that some people would still be a little disturbed seeing him dead. For anyone popping up late into the thread, the pictures were what you'd see in a PG or PG-13 movie portraying death...far less graphic than your usual CSI episode. I respect your call on taking them down.

At the same time though, I'm glad I saw them because the aftermath pictures (the funeral procession, etc) actually paint a more favorable picture of him. It might not be a bad idea just to leave up the photos of that, and omit the actual pictures of him on the scene.

    Thanks for the email Robbi.

Honestly, I expected them to be a lot worse. And even if they were, it wouldn't bother me at all. But you made a wise choice taking them down and honoring the requests of others. RIP Champ.
