Carlos Monzon v. Ezzard Charles @ 160.

    Charles was great in every division he fought in...how does the young Charles do against Escopeta who reigned @ 160?

    Great matchup. Charles at 160 pre military was not the fighter he was to become, but he was a damn good one. Good enough to beat Burley twice, near knocking him out. I'd make Monzon a fave to win by decision due to Charles not being fully developed at 160 both physically and experience wise. His durability was down on what it was later.

    Charles even at this stage tho would be more dangerous than any fighter Monzon ever fought imo. He was however a full step or more down from 4 years later. 160 is probably his "least awesome" weight.
