Monzon makes Eubanks look silly. Pop n move , pop n move.. Not a difficult result to envision.

    Nobody is stopping Eubank.

If Carl Thompson, a massive CW can't do it when Eubank was bloated, old and two divisions above his starting-out division, Monzon has no chance.

Chris's chin belongs in discussions alongside McCall and Holyfield.

People rave about Froch's chin, but Eubanks was miles ahead.

Thompson used to blow out far out into the 200s after weighing in, he had the muscle mass to manipulate water weight. Scarey that Eubank's left eye was completely closed (from an awkward jab initially, outside of glove landing) allowing Thompson free shots with the big right hand pretty much!!

Eubank's favourite fighters in history were Jack Johnson, Max Baer, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta, whom his mentor in NYC Adonis Torres gave him tapes of as a teen and told him story's about. Lenny DeJesus one of his trainers told him a lot about Duran and Gomez.

And Torres often taught him all about the stranglehold the Mob had in the 30s and 40s, which is I believe is why he was so suspicious of the managers and promoters in his career - he wouldn't sign with the Cartel (Duff, Lawless, Barrett) in London, turned down Warren, turned down Arum after the first Benn fight and King after the second Benn fight.

When Eubank called boxing a 'mugs game', he was paraphrasing what Torres told him about the Mob in a way. It was promoters taking advantage was the point he wanted to make, and dropping them like a pug if they lost a fight etc.

Unlike, say, Benn and Watson, Eubank wasn't fed pasties on the way up. He had to claw his way. He took the fights nobody else wanted basically, because he had no money and hype behind him.

That's why when he got the American football in his hands, he was going to take off and run with it, and wasn't dropping it and he wasn't giving it back!

I remember when Terry wanted to move up to face the super-middles in 93, the names Benn, Nunn, Jones Jr and Toney were on his hitlist. Good luck

And Eubank was just seen as a joke, an idiot by Terry's handlers

that's what I said. I would classify Benn more as what I call an accumulative puncher.

Jackson set up a one-punch knockout better, with a better placed shot. Benn just bowled them over with far more force - you can see this by the way they fell, Jackson's victims delayed reaction and timber-like and Benn's just head over heels or flying across the ring...

Fighters like Collins and Watson had a lot of success bullrushing Eubank in their respected rematches v Chris.

I've been semi-knocked out in sparring by shots that weren't as powerful as some knockdowns I received. One was on the edge of jaw, the other side of head. There are nerve endings there.
