Early sixties Tiger vs early 70's Monzon.

Could Tiger finish what Briscoe had going?

    Possible, but unlikely.

I would go for a very, very hard fought Monzon decision win.

Monzon should be able to use his height, range, and skill to keep Tiger at bay enough to win on points. Still, Tiger is one of those fighters you can never count out - just ask Jose Torres and Benvenuti.

Monzon was too ringwise for Tiger, and utilized his long arms and height superbly every time out when against a shorter opponent, which was usually the case in his bouts, Benvenuti excepted. I don't think there would have been any knockdowns, but Monzon would have outthought and outboxed Tiger, while pumping out that left jab continually.

Dick Tiger was great, but Monzon is the best middleweight in history in my opinion, and h2h nightmare.
