My question is, can Vargas last as long as Napoles?

Vargas would get murdered. Probably around 4 or 5 rounds. Monzon is far too strong for him, and simply too good.

Did you ever feel that Kingdome floor? How could a mortal man get sacked so many times on CONCRETE and still throw for so many goddamned yards! A great yes, one of the greatest possibly.

    Milton State!

HAS TO BE for shits and giggles!! Monzon hypnotizes him with the jab for 3, 4 rounds, then puts him away like he did Tom Boggs in the 5th or 6th. No contest.

I agree with KOTF that Vargas wears Carlos down and then a KO late. And then I wake up. Monzon schools Vargas. UD or KO after he punishes him.

This thread is the equivalent of a Muhammad Ali vs Tommy Morrison thread.

    :rofl

Carlos ruins a brave Vargas similarly to the way Tito did, although he administers a slow and steady beating instead and stops him thru accumulation somewhere around the 9th or 10th round with a knockdown or two along the way before dropping him for the count or forcing the ref to step in and stop the slaughter.
