Carlos Monzon vs James Toney At MW

Toney knocks Monzon down without a doubt, a few times.

 

Explain.

 

I think Monzon was hiding a very susceptible chin, not glass but i don't think it was solid at all. Other than Valdez who did knock him down, he didn't really face any decent punchers.

Not saying Toney would win, but with Toney's style i think he'd score a knockdown or two, making the fight close.

James Toney will make it close...but the cigar goes to Monzon. As mentioned, Monzon too cool... and too hard to reach consistently.

 

Damn some of you have gone a bit overboard this isn't gonna be a "shutout" Toney will be the greatest opponent Monzon has ever stepped in the ring with and will make Monzon look a fool on occasion. That said Monzon will probably win this, a fairly close dec., with his pace, supremely accurate straight punches and ability to keep distance. Monzon wont allow Toney to stand in front of him and counter, a close contest me tinks.
