I think that Joe Calzaghe was a very great 168 pounder, I also think that Carlos Monzon was a very great 160 lb champion as well, I know that this fight is hypothetical, because King Carlos would have never left the division he was most comfortable, 160 lbs. He was a very intelligent fighter who knew his limitations. Today most fighters are greedy, and that can cost you in the end. That being said, I see Carlos taking a win on points, then returning to his natural weight class. Joe will give him a run for his money, he has really good speed and movement. Carlos has not tasted defeat in his last 82 fights, dating back to Oct 9 1964. It has been said that Monzon had an enormous amount of confidence in every bout, another words, no brag, just fact. He would have to cut off the ring on Calzaghe, and he would counter Joe. I will not criticize anyone's resume here, because all you can do is fight the opponent put in front of you.
