I never said he was out speeding Mike and I agree with you as I too think that it goes the distance.. But as I said this a lot more challenging fight for Mike because he is giving up the reach advantage, a luxury he always almost had. I have no problem with people picking Mike... but for me, I like Monzon

Mccallum may have been the best Jmw ever, if not top 3 for sure, at MW he lost a lot, still a solid MW, but not quite as good, he loses to anyone in the top 10 all time at MW, many would love to have seen him fight Hagler, not me, I liked both and would not have wanted to see McCallum beaten like that, so no Mike does not win this one.

McCallum would hurt him more than his other opponents, McCallum also fought stronger opposition but monzon dominated much more in his era. That being said monzon would be p:ssing blood the next week but would still win this fight, better technically and Mike left himself open to being countered way to often not to be taken advantage of by a master technician, I see Mike Mike winning the opening round with monzon taking control mid to late rounds.

Alert!!!! We're missing one body. Where is it? I don't know.
    It was Snatched.
McCallum W15 with a knockdown. Monzon big heart and ring IQ are the only things that get him to the final bell.
Mike is quicker, just as strong and more versatile. He can box with Carlos on the outside and wear him down inside. I think MM is the more dangerous guy at mid-range. Monzon won't be able to take control midstream with his legs cut down from those body shots.

I see it the same way as you. I would put my money on the Body Snatcher.

NO! Remember that Mike always had the luxury of the reach advantage thus it was easier for him to get to mid range where he excelled... Not the case with Monzon. At 160 this would be his toughest fight ever for Mike giving up the reach advantage and going against the Master of measuring the distance. As good as Mike was mid range, slippin on balance and countering, Monzon was just as good at measuring the distance from the outside and countering in his own right. His counter uppercut to the body was wicked. Monzon had an engine, and at 154 MIke is a Beast. But at 160 the beast is Monzon. This is a very close fight but there is no doubt that Mike has the bigger Mountain to climb than Carlos.

McCallum was taller. Carlos had an 1.5 inch reach advantage. That isn't gonna be the difference. The mountain that Mike has to climb is more perception than reality.
